Long Beach Sports to Air on MSG Varsity
Football and soccer games will be spotlighted on Cablevision network.

Long Beach High School sports fans will get the opportunity this weekend to see two Marine teams play live from the comfort of their homes.
MSG Varsity will broadcast live from the Long Beach-Carey football game kicking off at 2 p.m. Saturday at the middle school. The Cablevision network will also broadcast the Long Beach boys’ soccer home game against Herricks at 4:30 p.m. Friday.
Both games will be available live via msgvarsity.com/Livecast. The football game will also be seen on television screens this Monday when it airs on taped delay at 7:30 p.m. on MSG Varsity (Channel 14).
“MSG Varsity is shining a spotlight on Long Beach High School this week and in addition to broadcasting the upcoming Long Beach versus Carey football game, we've been out in the community covering boys and girls soccer, boys and girls volleyball, girls tennis and girls swimming," said Michael Lardner, MSG Varsity’s senior vice president and executive producer. "We're proud to highlight the talented student athletes in Long Beach and wish them the best in Saturday's match-up."
David Weiss, superintendent of Long Beach schools, said the district is pleased to be featured on MSG Varsity.
"We have tremendous pride in the successes our students have had academically and in co-curricular activities," he said. "We welcome the opportunity celebrate these publically, and to put Long Beach High School on display on television and on the web."
