Long Island Burger Joint In Running For Best In State Competition

LONG BEACH, NY — A Long Beach burger joint is hoping to be named the best in the state. Black Door Burger, located behind its sister eatery, Long Beach Sandwich Company on West Beech Street, is in the running for the best burger in the state.
The Black Door Burger was nominated and got enough votes that it's in the Top 10, the only burger representation from Long Island.
It's the 7th annual competition by the New York Beef Council.

The Top 10 burgers are being hosted on the NY Beef Council's Facebook page or its website. Voting goes through April 29 at midnight to decide the Top 4 selections.
Those "final four" chefs will have a cookoff to determine the grand prize winner on May 8 in Syracuse.
