UPDATE: Victim Identified in Fatal Accident on Loop Parkway
The Loop Parkway was closed for approximately six hours for the accident investigation.

The man killed in a Friday morning accident at the Loop Parkway has been identified by New York State police.
According to state police, at approximately 7:12 a.m., Steven Evola, 45, of Selden, was killed after being rear-ended by one truck and thrown forward into another truck.
Police said Evola was driving a 1998 Hyundai when he stopped on the westbound side for the drawbridge, which was up due to boat traffic. He was rear-ended by a 1996 Chevrolet Utility Truck. Evola's vehicle was pushed into a Kenworth Truck stopped directly in front of his vehicle.

Evola was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
Police said that the operator of the Chevrolet, John Hollenbeck, 48, of Livingston Manor, was ticketed for following too closely and unsafe speed
