Nassau Drone Team Assisting With Search For Petros Krommidas: Blakeman
The Baldwin resident and Nassau County Legislative candidate was last seen on April 23.

MINEOLA, NY — The search has expanded to find Petros Krommidas, the Nassau Legislative candidate who has been missing since April 23.
County Executive Bruce Blakeman has mobilized the county's Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) to help locate Krommidas, who was last seen in Baldwin. His car and personal belongings were found by police in Long Beach.
The search began at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday at the Catalina Beach Club in Atlantic Beach, where a command post was established on-site, Blakeman announced.

Nassau’s drone team is assisting with aerial search efforts along the coast and nearby areas.
Earlier in the day, Krommidas' mother made an online appeal for drone operators and divers to assist in the search.

“Today, I have instructed our Community Emergency Response Team to mobilize in the search for Petros Krommidas, a missing resident of Nassau County. The safety and well-being of our community members is our highest priority, and we are doing everything possible to locate Petros and bring him home safely,” Blakeman said.
Krommidas, a Baldwin resident and Chaminade High School graduate, is seeking election in the Legislative's 4th District.
