Nassau Fugitive Taken Into Custody After Hurting Officer: Police
Edward Kenna, 49, was arrested at his Long Beach residence on Tuesday, police said.
LONG BEACH, NY — A fugitive from Long Beach was arrested on Tuesday afternoon, police said.
Edward Kenna, 49, was taken into custody at his resident for an active Nassau County bench warrant, police said.
Kenna refused to comply with verbal commands and resisted as police attempted to place him into custody. As a result of him being violent and combative, an officer sustained injuries during the course of the arrest, authorities said.

The officer was brought to an area hospital for treatment and evaluation.
Kenna is charged with second-degree assault 2 nd Degree, Resisting Arrest, third-degree bail
jumping and an open Nassau County warrant for second-degree criminal contempt, police said.
