Officials Investigating Cause of Island Park Fire: PD
The fire broke out Monday evening at a residence, officials say.
ISLAND PARK, N.Y. — An investigation is ongoing into the cause of a fire that broke out Monday evening in Island Park, officials say.
The Nassau County Detective Arson Bomb Squad reported Tuesday morning that the fire broke out at 5:20 p.m. at a residence on Quebec Road, noting that all residents of the home had been evacuated prior to police arrival.
The Island Park Fire Department and neighboring departments were on the scene to extinguish the fire, officials said, and the investigation is now in the hands of the County Fire Marshal and the Arson Bomb Squad.
