Photos: Soaking Up the November Sun in Long Beach
Boardwalk- and beach-goers were busy walking, cycling, surfing and fishing on a warm Sunday morning.
With snow and ice storms still at least weeks (dare we say months?) away, many people eager to enjoy the mild November weather were out on the sun-splashed boardwalk and beach in Long Beach on Sunday, as the mercury once again climbed into the 60's. Walkers and cyclists donned light jackets or layers as they passed by the more sedentary who sat reading on benches or planted their beach chairs in the sand. Along the shore, fisherman cast their lines in the Atlantic while surfers navigated small yet ridable waves.
Monday’s forecast for Long Beach calls for a 20 percent chance of showers and a high of 55, according to the National Weather Service. There is 60 percent chance of rain as temps top out at 51 on Tuesday, and 90 percent chance of rain with a high of 66 on Wednesday. The skie are expected to clear and breezy by Thanksgiving, with temps around 51 degrees. Check the seven-day forecast here.
