Photos: Let There Be Festive Lights

The businesses along Park Avenue and West Beech Street throughout Long Beach can't exactly be described as being aglow in Christmas and holiday lights and decorations, whether in the form of white icicles, oversized wreaths, menorahs, or your standard small, multicolored bulbs strung along forest-green wiring. We noticed in our travels this week, with Hanukkah here and Christmas only days away, that just as many stores are without festive lights and decorations than sport them, and that many with them have only a few to show—although West Beech is done up in candy canes, Christmas stockings, snowflakes and other lamppost decorations this year.
