Police: Long Island Woman Stabbed Her 79-Year-Old Mother to Death
An Oceanside woman has been charged with murder after police say she fatally stabbed her mother in the neck.

A woman who was stabbed to death in her Oceanside home was killed by her own daughter, according to Nassau County Police.
Suzan Grossman-Kerner, 56, of Oceanside, was charged Tuesday with second-degree murder, cops said. She will be arraigned Tuesday at First District Court in Hempstead.
Grossman-Kerner allegedly stabbed her mother, Irma Grossman, 79, in her Terrell Avenue home, police said.

Officers responded to a call about an assault at Grossman’s home at 12:48 p.m. Monday, officials said. Police discovered the victim had been stabbed in the neck and rushed her to a nearby hospital for treatment, cops said.
Grossman was pronounced dead at 2:55 p.m.

Police said they had a suspect in custody Monday night but had not yet filed charges against Grossman-Kerner.
