Q & A with Long Beach Boxer Seanie Monaghan
Undefeated pugilist talks about his career as he looks to continue his undefeated professional record.

So you think boxing is a dead sport? Not so in Long Beach, where city native Seanie Monaghan is training to go 11-0 at his next bout at Madison Square Garden on Dec. 3.
The professional light heavyweight sat down recently with Claudia Bocanegra of 15rounds.com for a Q&A in which he touches on his life growing up in Long Beach, the support he gets from his hometown fans, and his team at Freeport Boxing Club, as well as other topics.
Monaghan credits the late Robert Calabrese Jr., his friend and fellow Long Beach native, with introducing him to the boxing ring. Calebrese was murdered in Island Park in 2004.
