The intersection of Riverside Boulevard and East Beech Street got a facelift on Tuesday.
The City of Long Beach's Department of Public Works performed the repavement work.
"This intersection has been in dire need of resurfacing for a quite a while, and when completed, will provide a much smoother and safer ride for motorists and bicyclists, alike," the city said in a announcement about the work.
While the Riverside-East Beech intersection remains closed Tuesday afternoon as the work is ongoing, street access is open on both streets.
