Rose & Eye Stages Fall Fashion Show

West End shop's patrons sport 70 outfits at restaurant in Oceanside.

Shoppers at Rose & Eye did their best Heidi Klum impressions at a fashion show thrown by a West End women’s boutique Monday evening.

The models of varying ages walked the runway sporting 70 fall fashions, included glitter evening wear, skull- and animal-print tops, and oxblood-colored outfits, to a standing room only crowd at the Mio Posto, an Italian restaurant in Oceanside.

Rose & Eye owners Michael Muratore and Stefano Malluzzo said their patrons had asked that they stage a fashion show, so they took them up on their offer to model their wares. “It’s a give back for our customers,” said Muratore, who added that the show was also a perfect kickoff to the coming Christmas and holidays season.

During the skull-print portion of the show, the men from CrossFit King of the Beach, a gym a few doors down from the boutique on West Beech Street, including owners Dr. Sean Pastuch and Mike Abgarian, accompanied the ladies on the catwalk.

Hair was provided by Station for Hair, another neighbor of Rose & Eye, and makeup by Dollface Cosmetics, an East End establishment.
