Police ID Teen Killed in Jet Ski Crash

UPDATE, 2:30 P.M. July 15: Nassau County police identified the teen who died as Caitlin Rose McDonald, 18, of Rockville Centre.

Sources told News 12 that McDonald was on a rented jet ski with a guide at the time of the crash.

ORIGINAL STORY: BALDWIN, NY – An 18-year-old woman was killed when a jet ski collided with a boat off the coast of Baldwin Sunday morning, Nassau Police said.

It happened around 10:30 a.m. in the Middle Bay, southeast of Parsonage Cove. Police said the jet ski crashed into a 35-foot Fountain motorboat.

Police are not releasing the victim's name at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
