Valley Stream Man Posted Child Porn on Twitter: Police

A Valley Stream man will face charges for suspicion of child pornography possession after his arrest Thursday morning.
Matthew Kernis, 26, of Valley Stream, was arrested after local and federal agencies investigated child pornography images uploaded to a Twitter account during March, April and May 2015, according to a report by the Nassau County Police Department.
Detectives received information from the “National Center for Missing and Exploited Children” regarding the incriminating Twitter photos, the report states.

Kerniss was charged with seven counts of Promoting a Sexual Performance of a Child and four counts of Possessing a Sexual Performance of a Child. He will be arraigned in First District Court, Hempstead Dec. 18.
