From NCC to the White House: Lessons for Internship Success

Raquel Fossett, Former SGA President & White House Internship Director, Shares Her Journey

Raquel Fossett, former Nassau Community College (NCC) student and Student Government Association (SGA) President, met with NCC students to discuss “From NCC to the White House: How to Succeed in Your First Internship” on Wednesday, March 5, at 9:30 a.m. on the second floor of the campus library.

Fossett, the former Director of Internships for the White House, had served in various leadership roles in the federal government. A native of Seattle, she was a graduate of Glen Head’s North Shore High School. She served as NCC’s SGA president for the 2017-2018 academic year.

This event, which was also available virtually, was sponsored by the NCC English AA Degree Program. For more information about it, individuals could contact gina.shipley@ncc.edu.
