Parent Orientation Event For Incoming Long Beach Pre-K, Kindergartners
It takes place on Aug. 22 at Lido Elementary School.
LONG BEACH, NY — Families with children attending pre-k and kindergarten in Long Beach this fall, are invited to a parent academy later this month.
There will be an introduction to the district programs, teachers and administrators. Parents and caregivers will rotate through six stations: routines and readiness, literacy, numeracy, science, yoga and social-emotional learning.
Teachers and administrators will discuss aspects of their curricular areas and include demonstrations and handouts.

Time will also be provided for families to meet each other and ask questions.
