Here are the top stories in Lower East Side-Chinatown today:

  1. The superstructure at 206 Delancey Street has topped out at 12 stories. The construction project has undergone a nearly decade-long saga, and ownership has changed hands multiple times. The final product will boast 58,600 square-feet of residential space. (Bowery Boogie)
  2. Five men are wanted for a two-day crime spree during which they made off with over $72,000. All of the burglaries took place in Lower Manhattan. The NYPD has released footage of the suspects. (WPIX 11 New York)
  3. An official sketch was released by the NYPD of a subway thief who delivered a fatal punch to a homeless man in June 2021. 52-year-old Homero Urgilez sustained injuries during the altercation that led to his death months after the incident. Anyone with information regarding the incident or the suspect’s whereabouts is urged to call Crime Stoppers.
