Anthony Bourdain’s LES ‘Parts Unknown’ Episode Airs This Sunday

Bourdain visits a handful of beloved East Village and Lower East Side eateries in the final episode of the late chef's show.

LOWER EAST SIDE, NY — New Yorkers will get to say a final farewell to Anthony Bourdain with this Sunday's Lower East Side episode of the late chef's "Parts Unknown" series — the last episode of the show.

The much-anticipated finale of the show's 12th season will air on Sunday, Nov. 11 at 9 p.m. on CNN. The season was in production when Bourdain died on location in France June 8.

Only the season's premier had finished filming and went through the production process before Bourdain's death. It featured Bourdain's signature narration while the remaining four were produced using audio recorded of Bourdain as he filmed on location.

In the New York finale, Bourdain visits a variety of East Village and Lower East Side institutions including sweets staple Ray's Candy Store, famed Ukrainian diner Veselka, Italian spot John's of 12th Street and art bar Max Fish.

Bourdain also sits down for a meal with rock stars Debbie Harry and Chris Stein of Blondie at Italian restaurant Emilio's Ballato.

The episode features a handful of icons in the city's art and music scenes including hip-hop king Fab Five Freddy, artist Joe Coleman and punk rock music executive Danny Fields.

The season's last episodes featured behind-the-scenes footage, outtakes and interviews with the cast and crew on working with Bourdain on CNN's Emmy Award-winning show that began in 2013.
