Blue Bottle Coffee To Open Friday On The Lower East Side

If you visit NYC's newest Blue Bottle Coffee location on Thursday, you can get a cup of coffee on the house.

LOWER EAST SIDE, NY — New York City's newest Blue Bottle Coffee will officially open on Friday, but neighbors are invited for a free cup of coffee on Thursday to see the new space for themselves.

As part of the cafe's "Friends and Family Day," neighbors and friends are invited to the space at 71 Clinton Street for a cup on the on house. The promotion will last from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. The grand opening of the new cafe is scheduled for Friday.

The Oakland-based coffee chain has eight other locations in New York City. The design of the Clinton Street space will "pay homage" to the Lower East Side, the coffee company said in a statement. The sunlight-filled space has big windows that will be open in the warmer weather.
