  1. Police are searching for a violent suspect wanted for a train assault on Christmas Day. The attacker punched and stabbed a 29-year-old woman during a dispute on a Brooklyn-bound A train approaching Canal Street. The victim was rushed to a local hospital, where she was listed in stable condition. (AMNY)
  2. Developer David Marom of the Horizon Group has fired back against accusations that he threatened to empty a port-a-potty in the Children's Magical Garden. Marom was sued by four individuals for damages in response to his filing of a $20 million defamation suit against them in 2019. The ongoing legal dispute over the green space has delayed the developer's plans to build a luxury residential building on the property. (The Village Sun)
  3. Theater 80 in New York City could be at risk of closing due to the pandemic. The historic prohibition-era venue at 8o Saint Marks Place has served as an off-Broadway theater since the 1960s.
