Here are the top stories in Lower East Side-Chinatown today:
- "Citi Bites," which is described as a 'modern deli,' will open its doors at the 2,000-square foot corner shop at 101 Stanton St. It will join Exotic Snax and OhK Dog as one of three eateries at this address. The establishment will take the place of Prema Salon which closed earlier this year. (Bowery Boogie)
- The Paris Cafe, which closed its doors during the pandemic, will be reopening in November at 119 South St. Former owner of one of the city's oldest and most popular bars, Pete O'Connell, will not be involved in the new version. Emilio Barletta, who owns the building, has taken the project under his own supervision. (The Lo Down)
