  1. The city's Coastal Resiliency Project has forced the Lower East Side Ecology Center to relocate. The existing East River compost yard of 22 years will be moving to Staten Island. A partial park closure is approaching in the near future on account of Mayor Bill de Blasio's push to break ground on his controversial project. (Bowery Boogie)
  2. A video showing the raising of the Taiwan flag in Chinatown has gone viral at 62 Mott St. The flag raising ceremony commenced in front of the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association. (Taiwan News)
  3. The Department of Design and Construction and the NYC Parks Department led a tour of the East River Park construction areas which highlight the two agencies' plans for the Coastal Resiliency Project. The ever-controversial plans has faced setbacks throughout, and has proved to be unpopular in the minds of many locals. While the need to protect against the impending threats caused by global warming, many believe that the project does not hold the needs of the community in high regard. (AMNY)
