Allen Street Fire Breaks Out On Building Roof
It took firefighters about 40 minutes to bring the blaze under control.

LOWER EAST SIDE, NY — A fire that broke out on the roof of a Lower East Side building on Saturday is under control, the FDNY said.
The fire on the roof of the six-story building at 170 Allen Street was reported at 10:49 a.m. An FDNY spokesman told Patch that the fire was brought under control 40 minutes later at 11:29 a.m.
No injuries were reported.
