  1. Read an opinion piece regarding the state of our community in dealing with the ever-present controversy surrounding the East River Park. Construction, or destruction, has officially begun on the park and the city's plan for coastal resiliency remains under scrutiny. (The Village Sun)
  2. The NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force is still searching for a man who painted swastikas on the Charging Bull statue, City Hall, and other Lower Manhattan landmarks. The suspect has been at large since Dec. 3 when he first spray-painted the hateful symbol on a wall at 10 Maiden Ln. Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline. (Fox 2 KTVU)
