Here are the top stories in Lower East Side-Chinatown today:

  1. Yet another Lower East Side crab restaurant has closed its doors. Juicy King Crab Express, only blocks from the recently closed Crab Du Jour, has shuttered after less than a year in business. The 213 East Broadway eatery still had its grand opening flags hung from the entryway. (Bowery Boogie)
  2. The minds behind the soon-to-open Moxy Hotel on Bowery are doing their best to win the affection of the neighborhood. The company announced that it would sport food and beverage operated by New York company, the Tao Group. There have also been fliers posted throughout the neighborhood inviting anyone to join virtual Zoom information sessions throughout the past week. (Bowery Boogie)
  3. A college from the Bronx has been accused of selling 73 illegal guns and high-capacity magazines to an undercover cop. Shakor Rodriguez, 23, was attending Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee, and he would transfer the guns to New York from the south. Most of the transactions occurred near his home in the Bronx. Multiple sales were made on Allen Street. (ABC 7 NY)
