Lower East Side Fire Injures 1, FDNY Says
At least one person was injured in a fire in the Lower East Side on Monday afternoon.

LOWER EAST SIDE, NY — Authorities say one person has suffered a non-life threatening injury after a fire broke out in a Lower East Side building on Monday.
The fire started at 148 Madison St., fire officials said.
The blaze was declared under control at about 1:15 p.m., officials said.
