Here are the top stories today in Lower East Side-Chinatown:

  1. Construction of the 14-story luxury residential building at 199 Chrystie St. is coming to an end. The building, which overlooks Sara D. Roosevelt Park, features 14 luxury residential units. The project was slated to come to an end in September, but will now fully conclude sometime later this fall. (New York YIMBY)
  2. For the fourth time since the onset of the pandemic, local musician Jill Fiore entertained pedestrians with an impromptu concert performed on her fire escape. At 29 Essex St. Fiore performed a live set from her Lower East Side residence, accompanied by three of her bandmates. For the first time, she introduced a livestream of one of her "Fiore escape" performances. Be on the lookout for when she might play next. (Bowery Boogie)
