Man Stabbed On Lower East Side Park Bench, Police Say
A 34-year-old man was stabbed Wednesday morning after he got into an argument with another man, police said.

LOWER EAST SIDE, NY — A man was stabbed in broad daylight on Wednesday morning as he sat on a park bench on the Lower East Side, police said.
The 34-year-old man was sitting on a bench in Sara D. Roosevelt Park, across from 215 Chrystie St., when he was attacked on Wednesday morning, an NYPD spokesman told Patch.
The man told police that as he was sitting on the bench, another man approached him at about 10:20 a.m. and the two began arguing. The second man then stabbed the 34-year-old in the back before running from the park, the spokesman said.

The man was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Police haven't arrested anyone and are still searching for the knifeman. It is unclear whether the two men knew each other.
