Here are the top stories today in Lower East Side-Chinatown:

  1. Chinatown's newest food court, Mott Street Eatery, opened last week just north of Canal Street at 98 Mott St. The large eatery fills the space that once held the popular dim sum banquet hall Joy Luck Palace, which closed four years ago. The new space offers 10 stalls, seven of which are already occupied. (Eater NY)
  2. The Immersive Van Gogh New York exhibition announced its partnership with Lifeway Foods to host its first "Gogh with Lifeway Kefir Immersive Yoga" class on Thursday, Nov. 18. All classes take place within the multi-sensory and all-encompassing Immersive Van Gogh experience, at Pier 36 on South Street. After the 25-minute class, participants are welcomed to stay and enjoy the immersive experience for the remaining 25 minutes. (Broadway World)
  3. District Leader Vittoria Fariello officially launched her campaign for state Senate on Sunday in Chatham Square. She will be running in the 26th State Senate District against incumbent Brian Kavanagh, which represents most of Manhattan below Houston Street. During her career in public office, she has worked to strengthen Manhattan’s democracy by reforming long-standing party rules. (The Village Sun)
