Man Who Fell Onto NYC Subway Tracks Rescued By Cops, NYPD Says
Two NYPD officers rescued a man who fell onto subway tracks on the Lower East Side, police said.

LOWER EAST SIDE, NY — Two NYPD officers rescued a man who had fallen onto the subway tracks on Thursday, pulling him to safety on the platform just seconds before a train pulled into the station, authorities said.
The officers, John Huang and Kevin Platz, were on train patrol on Thursday and were patrolling in the Delancey Street-Essex Street station at about 4 a.m. when they saw a man on the platform who was unsteady on his feet, the NYPD said.
The man fell from the northbound J train platform onto the tracks below, police said. The officers immediately ran to rescue the man, pulling him from the tracks to the platform above it.

Seconds later, a northbound J train entered the station, pulling in where the man had fallen just seconds before, authorities said.
The man, 39, refused medical attention, according to the NYPD.
