Here are the top stories today in Lower East Side-Chinatown:
- Concerned Chinatown residents have rallied in opposition to a proposed homeless shelter on East Broadway. - Anthony Mangieri, owner of Una Pizza Napoletana on Orchard Street, has announced a holiday panettone pop-up event at his restaurant. The event will also serve as an introduction to Caffè Napoletana, Mangieri's planned daytime eatery. The event will run on Dec. 18 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (Grub Street)
