- A sleeping man presumed to be a drug addict is in critical condition after being set ablaze by 27-year-old Nathaniel Terry. The victim, believed to be in his 30s, suffered severe burns on nearly 75% of his body. Terry was taken into custody and was awaiting arraignment on Saturday evening. (Yahoo)
- ‘Taste the Nation’ docuseries hits the Lower East Side as it returned to Hulu this week. Host Padma Lakshmi explores Jewish culture and cuisine, within walking distance of her East Village apartment. One notable stop on the tour was to the famous Russ & Daughters on Houston Street.
