  1. A subway passenger was slashed in the face during an argument on a J train in Manhattan. The victim was found bleeding from the head at the intersection of Bowery and Delancey Street on the Lower East Side. The victim was taken to a hospital while police searched for two suspects, a man and a woman. (New York Post)
  2. Nick Robins-Early is baking Thanksgiving pies on the Lower East Side for fellow journalists who were laid off in 2021. The Layoff Pies brand is a product of the journalist/baker himself having been laid off. Robins-Early explained that, after getting laid off in March of 2021, he found the need to thank friends and co-workers for their support by baking them pies, and it has blossomed into a pop-up business.
