LOWER EAST SIDE, NY - A teen boy was charged in a fatal stabbing that killed one man and critically injured another near a homeless camp inside a Lower East Side park, authorities said.

The 15-year-old was charged on Saturday with murder, attempted murder and related charges, a police spokesperson said.

The stabbing took place about 8:32 p.m. Thursday near Hester and Chrystie streets inside the Sara D. Roosevelt Park, police said.

25-year-old Pasquale Alonso, who was homeless, was fatally stabbed in the chest, police said. A 24-year-old man was also stabbed in the torso, police said.

Medics rushed the victims to NYC Health & Hospitals/Bellevue where the 24-year-old male was listed in stable condition. He is expected to survive, police said.

The stabbing appeared to happen at or near a homeless camp, ABC7 reported. Four suspects are sought in connection with the deadly incident, though only the one teen has been arrested thus far.

The investigation remains ongoing.
