Here are the top stories in Lower East Side-Chinatown today:

  1. Skateboarding legend Tony Hawk was seen at Coleman Skatepark beneath the Manhattan Bridge. The skateboarder has been a somewhat familiar face on the Lower East Side in recent years, often seen skating at Coleman or on the streets. His most recent visit was accompanied by a short video posted to his Instagram account. (Bowery Boogie)
  2. A suspect has been arrested in connection with the shooting in Union Square on Tuesday. Damon Bailey has been identified as the man behind the three-day crime spree, and will face federal charges. Bailey was arrested the following day in nearly the exact same location at the Union Square subway station. (NBC New York)
