Where To Eat This Weekend In NYC
Here's your guide to the best new places to eat in NYC this weekend.

LOWER EAST SIDE, NY — Looking for the best new place to grab dinner on Saturday night? Patch has you covered. Here's our weekly round-up of the best new restaurants and bars in New York City.
This week, check out a Japanese restaurant that serves just eight people at a time, a breakfast cafe at Tiffany & Co's flagship jewelry store, and more.
Shabushabu Macoron, 61 Delancey St., Lower East Side: This tiny new restaurant serves a special tasting menu of a Japanese hotpot dish called shabushabu. The meal mixes meat and vegetables in a special broth, and comes with 10 different dipping sauces. If you want to dine here, you need to make a reservation – not only does the tiny restaurant not accept walk-ins, but it only seats eight so calling ahead is a must. During its first month in business, you can get the tasting menu for $88.

The Lobster Club, 98 E. 53rd St., Midtown: The former home to the French restaurant Brasserie finally has a new tenant after shutting down last year after 56 years in business. The Lobster Club, from Major Food Group, is set to open on Friday in Midtown’s famous Seagram Building skyscraper. The new restaurant boasts colorful decor with Japanese cuisine, according to early reviews, but a full menu hasn't yet been released.
Charc, 316 E. 84th St., Upper East Side: Charc is the newest wine bar and restaurant to open on the Upper East Side, coming to Manhattan courtesy of the Michelin-starred chef Danny Brown. Charc’s food options focus, as you would imagine, on charcuterie, but the restaurant also offers a number of full dishes to accompany its wine list and other spirits. You can read more about Charc here.

The Blue Box Cafe by Tiffany & Co., 727 Fifth Ave., Midtown: The iconic Fifth Avenue jeweler has opened a cafe to accompany its diamonds, allowing fans of the Truman Capote novel and subsequent film (starring Audrey Hepburn) to “Breakfast at Tiffany’s.” Patch visited the new cafe shortly after its opening and found lines stretching around the corner. If you’re looking for a jewel-studded breakfast, be sure to get there early. You can read more about the cafe here.
