Long Island Swim School is the teaching arm of the nationally ranked Long Island Aquatic Club. Our Learn to Swim programs create strong, safe, and confident swimmers for life. With locations in Garden City and Syosset we train over 2,000 children each week at every swim level from Beginner to Olympian. Long Island Swim School offers swim lessons for children ages 2 - 14years old. The main emphasis of our programs is to teach children to swim correctly and develop essential water skills in a relaxed environment. July 11, or 7-11, is well-known throughout the country as "7-Eleven Day," where residents can pick up a free Slurpee at the popular convenience store. This year marks the 85th anniversary of 7-Eleven and the franchise will continue its annual tradition by giving away free 7.11-ounce Slurpees from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. As a bonus this year, according to 7-Eleven's <a href="http://www.slurpee.com/events/promotions/7elevenday2012/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Slurpee website</a>, anyone who brings a receipt date 7-11-12 from 7-Eleven to Six Flags, will get into the park for just $7.11 after -- you guessed it -- 7:11 p.m. With the receipt, park goers will not only get in for $7.11, but they will also get an extra hour of "ride time on select thrill rides" for 7-Eleven's exclusive after-dark event.
