Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano and Nassau County Clerk Maureen O’Connell recently presented George Silkes with a Citation for his service to the Kiwanis Club of West Hempstead.
Silkes serves as President of the West Hempstead Chapter of the Kiwanis Club. Kiwanis International is a global organization of members dedicated to serving the children of the world.
Kiwanis and its family of clubs annually raise more than $100 million and dedicate millions of volunteer hours to strengthen communities and serve children.
