Nassau Police Looking For East Rockaway Hit-And-Run Driver
Police say a woman was hit by a black Jeep Grand Cherokee crossing Main Street Wednesday morning.
EAST ROCKAWAY, NY — Nassau County police are seeking the public's help to find a hit-and-run driver who seriously injured a woman Wednesday morning.
According to police, a 30-year-old woman was crossing Main Street in East Rockaway, near the intersection of Rhame Avenue, at 8:15 a.m. when she was hit by a black Jeep Grand Cherokee heading west. The Jeep did not stop.
The woman suffered multiple injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital, where she is in stable condition.

Police ask anyone with information about the hit-and-run to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS, or call 911. All callers will remain anonymous.
