Long Island Swim School is the teaching arm of the nationally ranked Long Island Aquatic Club. Our Learn to Swim programs create strong, safe, and confident swimmers for life. With locations in Garden City and Syosset we train over 2,000 children each week at every swim level from Beginner to Olympian. Long Island Swim School offers swim lessons for children ages 2 - 14years old. The main emphasis of our programs is to teach children to swim correctly and develop essential water skills in a relaxed environment. MASSAPEQUA PARK, NY – A 15-year-old boy was seriously injured when he was struck by an SUV while riding his bicycle Friday evening, Nassau Police said. The teen was riding his bike southbound on Park Boulevard when he was struck by a 2013 Dodge that was traveling eastbound on Sunrise Highway at 6 p.m. The teen, who police did not identify, was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the vehicle remained at scene. No criminal charges have been filed.
