Christmas Eve: Monday is Christmas Eve, the day prior to the Christian celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. It is not a state or federal holiday.

Closed: Massapequa Public Schools will be closed Monday as will both branches of the Massapequa Public Library.

Town/Village: Both Town Hall in Oyster Bay and Village Hall in Massapequa Park will be open until 12:30 p.m. on Monday.

Sanitation: There will be normal sanitation pickup in the Town of Oyster Bay on Monday. 

LIRR: The LIRR's Babylon Branch, which servesMassapequa and  will once again add extra trains Monday afternoon. There will be a 2:32 p.m. train running express to Lynbrook, then making all stops to Babylon; a 3 p.m. train stopping at Jamaica, Rockville Centre, then making all stops to Babylon; and a 3:31 p.m. train running express to Rockville Centre, then making all stops to Babylon.
