Driver Fleeing Crash Slams Into Tractor-Trailer: Cops
The driver was seriously injured in the crash Sunday afternoon, police say.
NORTH MASSAPEQUA, NY – A 56-year-man was seriously injured in a crash between a car and a tractor-trailer in North Massapequa Sunday afternoon, Nassau Police said.
According to police, the man was fleeing the scene of another crash moments earlier when his car struck a tractor-trailer at the intersection of Boundary Avenue and North Bleeker Drive at 3:35 p.m.
The man, who police did not name, suffered serious injuries, including facial fractures and a broken wrist. He was transported to the hospital in serious, but stable condition.

The man was issued a summons for leaving the scene of an accident with property damage. The investigation is ongoing, police said.
