Drug Dealer Arrested In Connection To Fatal Overdose: Nassau Police

An investigation into the death of a Nassau resident led to the arrest of the man who sold them drugs, police said.

MASSAPEQUA, NY — An investigation into an overdose led to the arrest of a drug dealer in Massapequa, Nassau County police said.

An investigation into a fatal overdose of a Nassau resident led to the arrest of James Haynesworth, 46, of Massapequa, Nassau County police said. Haynesworth was arrested just before 7 p.m. on Jan. 25 without incident.

He is charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance.

Haynesworth is scheduled to be arraigned later today in First District Court in Hempstead.
