Duo Arrested After Motel 'Date' Turns Into Robbery: Cops
When a man arrived at a LI motel for a "date," a man came out of the bathroom with a machete, police say.

MASSAPEQUA, NY – Two people were arrested after a robbery at a Massapequa motel Friday morning, police said.
According to Nassau Police, a 44-year-old man agreed to meet a woman at the Budget Inn Motel at 400 Carman Mill Road for a date shortly before 5 a.m.
When the man arrived, he was met by 22-year-old Brianna Casillas, of North Carolina. As the two entered a room at the motel, 22-year-old DeAnsel Flores, of Amityville, came out of the bathroom with the handle of a machete sticking out of his waistband, police said.

Flores told the man, “Give me your money and get out." The man handed Flores an undisclosed amount of cash and left the room before calling 911.
Officers arrived at the motel and placed Casillas and Flores under arrest without further incident, police said.

Casillas and Flores were each charged with first degree robbery and second degree robbery. They will be arraigned on Saturday at First District Court in Hempstead.
