MASSAPEQUA, NY —While summer is unofficially over, it doesn't mean warm weather is finished.

Residents in the Town of Oyster Bay can hold onto summer a little longer with extended hours at Tobay Beach.

For the next two weekends (Sept. 7-8; Sept. 14-15) the beach will stay open free of charge with lifeguards on duty from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

"We invite residents and their families to put their toes in the water and feet in the sand while enjoying some nice weather and savoring the last warm days of the season, Supervisor Joseph Saladino said.

In addition, those heading to Tobay Beach on Sept. 8 can also enjoy the Town's free Waterfront Festival at the marina, which includes a free concert by the Captain Cool Band and their yacht rock hits.
