Former Massapequa High School guidance counselor Doris McConnell died on Jan. 1 in Stuart, Florida at 93.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years Bert E. McConnell and her brother Robert J. Millar, Jr.
She is survived by her daughter Nancy Smith and her son Bert McConnell. Doris leaves behind four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
