Grand Prize Drawing For Visiting All 12 Long Island History Hunt Sites

OYSTER BAY, NY — History enthusiasts are invited to participate in the Long Island History Hunt.
The event runs through Sept. 30 with dozen historical locations on the map. Among the Nassau spots to see are Raynham Hall Museum, the Oyster Bay Railroad Museum and the Theodore Roosevelt Sanctuary and Audubon Center.
Participants can scan the QR code to register, and then visit a designated museum, landmark, monument, historic home park or colonial tavern.

At each location, visitors are invited to take a selfie challenge and upload their photo. Visitors who complete a challenge at any site are automatically eligible to win a prize.
Those who complete the challenge at all 12 sites will earn the title of "Revolutionary Trailblazer" and be entered into the grand prize drawing that includes $500, an 18th century-style luncheon at the Ketcham Inn tavern, family museum memberships and a basket of curated surprises.

All Long Islanders, as participants in the daily events of their towns and neighborhoods, are builders in the legacy and heritage of the places we call home," said Kathryn Curran, executive director of the event’s sponsor, The Robert David Lion Gardiner Foundation.
