Halloween Events in Massapequa

It seems like the popularity of Halloween grows every year. It's no longer just a kids day and it's become big business around the country.

But, more than anything, it's fun. Here's a look at some top Halloween events in Massapequa.

Darkness Rising: After being open on weekends throughout October. The haunted attraction will be open one final day Thursday.  In addition to spooky fun, proceeds will go to YES Community Counseling  ant the Heather Pendergast Fund. It's located at 10 Brooklyn Avenue. Doors will be open from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Big Daddy's: The Cajun and Creole joint is hot on a normal night, but It'll be really hot for Halloween. There will be a party, with costumes optional. It will feature music by Kane Daly. It all starts at 7 p.m. Big Daddy's is located at 1 Park Lane in Massapequa.

Karaoke: Maggie's on Park will host Halloween Karaoke by Lillian from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.  Patrons are encouraged to come in costume. Maggie's is located at 1020 Park Boulevard in Massapequa Park.

Blue Parrot: The Rock club will hold a Halloween party with  Karaoke and music from DJ Joey Mongoose. It gets underway at 9 p.m. The Blue Parrot Lounge is located at 5460 Merrick Road.
