LI Trump Fan Says Village Blocking Construction Over Politics: Report
An Amityville homeowner filed a $1 million suit, claiming the village is discriminating against him because he is a "loud" Trump supporter.
AMITYVILLE, NY — An Amityville homeowner claims the village is stopping him from building his home because he is a supporter of Donald Trump.
The New York Post reported that Vincent Franco, a self-proclaimed "loud" Trump supporter, has filed a $1 million lawsuit against the Village of Amityville, claiming that the village is stopping construction on his home due to his political beliefs.
According to the Post, a former village building inspector told Franco he could raise the height of his roof by three feet. But when a different inspector came months later, he said the roof was too high and stopped work on the building. Now it is half-finished, and being damaged by exposure to the elements.
