LONG ISLAND, NY — Half of this weekend is going to be gorgeous and sunny. The other half is not looking as good.

According to the National Weather Service, Saturday may not be lovely. There's a 40 percent chance of rain Friday night into Saturday, which could wash out some weekend plans.

Sunday, however, is going to be beautiful for Long Island. Skies will be sunny, and the high will be around 81 degrees. That sunny weather looks like it will stick around for the start of the week, too.
